From an Outdated Square Website to a Modern Community Platform

Meadowview First needed more than a visual refresh. Their existing Square website was outdated, limited in functionality, and no longer provided the kind of online experience the organization needed to serve the Meadowview community effectively.

Byte Blaze Designs replaced the old site with a custom WordPress website built with Elementor Pro. The new site provides a modern, organized home for community information, local history, news and events, the Meadowview Volunteer Fire Department, and information about the Historic Meadowview Depot.

One of the most important improvements was adding online reservations for the Historic Meadowview Depot. Instead of relying on an informational website alone, visitors can now view rental information, select available dates and times, reserve the Depot online, and securely pay for their reservation through Stripe.

Turning an Outdated Website into a Useful Community Resource

Meadowview First's existing Square website had become outdated and offered limited functionality. The organization needed a modern website that could better represent the Meadowview community while making important information easier for residents and visitors to find.

The biggest functional challenge was the Historic Meadowview Depot. The previous website did not provide online booking capabilities, so the new site needed to do more than simply explain that the Depot was available to rent. It needed to support the reservation process itself, including availability, scheduling, and secure online payments.

Key Goals

  • Replace the outdated Square website with a modern WordPress platform
  • Create a professional online presence for the Meadowview community
  • Organize community information, history, news, events, and local resources
  • Add online reservations for the Historic Meadowview Depot
  • Allow visitors to securely pay for Depot reservations online
  • Make the website easy to use across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

What Went Into This Project

Website Design

A complete redesign created to give Meadowview First a modern, professional presence while making community information easier for residents and visitors to find.

WordPress Development

The outdated Square website was replaced with a custom WordPress platform providing greater flexibility, functionality, and room for the website to grow.

Online Reservations

An online booking system was configured for the Historic Meadowview Depot, allowing visitors to view availability and reserve the venue directly through the website.

Online Payments

Stripe payment processing was integrated with the reservation system so Depot rental payments can be securely collected as part of the online booking process.

SEO Foundations

The new website was structured with on-page SEO fundamentals to help search engines understand the site and improve visibility for Meadowview First and its community resources.

Responsive Design

The website was designed and optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices so community information and Depot reservations are accessible across screen sizes.

A Better Website and a More Convenient Way to Serve the Community

Meadowview First now has a modern, professional website that better represents the community and provides residents and visitors with a central place to find information about local history, news, events, community resources, and the Historic Meadowview Depot.

The project also transformed how the Depot can be rented. What was previously an informational website with no online booking capability is now a functional reservation platform where visitors can check availability, choose a rental time, make a reservation, and securely submit payment online.

By moving away from the limitations of the previous Square website, Meadowview First now has a flexible WordPress platform that can continue to evolve as the organization, community, and Depot rental needs change.
